When we were in highschool I remember going to Perry lake with Mike and his Dad. Load up the boat with food, sandwiches and of course...DR PEPPER!!! We had a LOT of fun with Mr. Guthrie. He took us water skying, tubing and fishing. Mr. G was kind of like the dad I didn't have to take me out and do those fun things. So sorry he's gone - but thankful he's in heaven water skying with Jesus. I bet Moses is driving the boat and missing all those stumps, right Barbara? I had great memories of hanging out with Mike and his mom and dad in their house on Stoneridge court. I may not have always been the best person or influence, but I really respected Mr.G and his attitude and consistency. I remember him working on putting the furnace out in the metal barn, so he could work on his truck and Mike could work on his car. We were out there talking to him for awhile that day. Too many memories to put on paper. He was always a giving man. Love you guys and your family!!!
