Obituary for John Glenn Preston

John Glenn  Preston
John Glenn Preston, 67, of Edwardsville, KS passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 8 pm, Thur., Oct. 3, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. Family committal to follow at a later date. Visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Thur. evening prior to the service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas City Hospice in care of the funeral home. John was born on Oct. 30, 1945 in Grand Rapids, MI and graduated from Belton High School in 1963 after moving frequently as a child of an Air Force Father. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam where he flew Helicopters. After the army he worked for Bell Helicopters in Arlington, TX delivering helicopters to new owners. Later he worked in computer technology and more recently for Zales and Helzbergs in jewelry sales.
John was preceded in death by his father Robert Preston in 1983 and one daughter Lindsey Preston in 1997. And is survived by his wife Susan Preston of the home and one son Ryan Preston of Edwardsville, KS and a daughter Ashley Adams also of Edwardsville, KS. His mother Jacquelyn Preston of Leland, NC; three brothers Bob Preston of Leland, NC; David Preston of Kansas City, MO; Paul Preston of Los Angles, CA; one sister Mary Preston of Bracey, VA as well as numerous nieces and nephews other family and friends that will miss him greatly.
