William “Bill” Gene Budy, age 74, of Kansas City, KS passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be at 7 pm, Fri., April 12th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the visitation from 6 to 7 pm, Fri., April 12th at the funeral home prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wayside Waifs in care of the funeral home. Bill was born on April 11, 1938 in Independence, MO. He was a lifelong Bonner Springs area resident and had previously been a member of the Bonner Springs Chamber of Commerce and had been in the National Guard. He worked for many years for Tastee Bread as a delivery driver and had also worked for Wonder Bread and Payless Cashways Lumberyard. He was a big K-State sports fan due to his long history of being a very popular track star in high school. Bill is survived by his wife of 24 years Lydia Acosta-Budy of the home. 4 children Rick Budy of Colorado; Kelly Horton of Mclouth, KS; Cindy Eberth of Basehor, KS and Gina Reppert of Kansas City, KS. 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
