Willehelmina “Billie” Allen, 87, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at The Gables Assisted-Living Facility in Overland Park, KS. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Fri., Nov. 7, at the New Life Family Church at 4835 Shawnee Dr. in Kansas City, KS with burial to follow in the Leavenworth Veterans Administration National Cemetery. Friends may call at the visitation from 6 to 8 PM, Thurs. evening, Nov. 6, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. The family suggests Memorial contributions to the church in care of the funeral home. Billie was born on Jan. 19, 1927 in Woods County, OK and was a long time resident of the Bonner Springs area where she enjoyed raising her family. She worked for many years as a billing clerk for trucking companies and was a big fan of the Royals and of Kansas State University sports. She was a member of the New Life Family Church in Shawnee, KS. Mrs. Allen is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Paul Allen in 2010 and her son Roy Allen also in 2010 also 2 grandsons Benjamin Allen and Mickey Eich in Sept. 2014. She is survived by her four children Chester Allen and his wife Yolanda; David Allen and his wife Barbara; Paulett Goorsky and her husband Greg and Jenny Eich and her husband Terry. Her brother Delmar Furrow as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and one great grandson to be born in Jan. 2015.
