To Mikayla's sisters, you don't know me, but I know your pain. My oldest sister, who was also my best friend, whom I talked to everyday, died a year and a half ago. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. If I listen, I can hear the sound of her voice in my head...I hear her good advice and her contagious laughter, and it makes me sad, but happy at the same time, because I was blessed enough to share in her joy. When I think of her, I see her smile and her big brown eyes, and I'm thankful for having shared in her life. It's still hard knowing she isn't here anymore, but at the same time, she will always be here...in my heart and in my mind. I carry her memory with me everyday. My message to you is to listen, and you'll hear your sister. Think of her and you'll see her smile. Take her with you in your heart, and she will never leave you. To Johnnie and her mom, I am heartbroken for you. And to you I would offer the same advice...listen for her, she will still speak to you, just in a different way. She knows you love her. Blessed are we to have loved so much, and to have shared in the lives of these precious angels God put on this earth for us.
