Jackie Burns
I will miss seeing Gene McGraw…at Vesta Lee, where he fixed my screen door…at my childhood home’s front door, where he never failed to deliver goods from his garden and a Brown Bottle carry-out dinner for my dad…at Sacred Heart sporting events, where he cheered on his grandkids. The memories are many. He was a kind and generous man dedicated to his faith, community, and family. The latter of which he (along with Helen) leaves a heck of a legacy. I was always impressed that Mr. McGraw remembered which Burns kid I am and called me by name. Not an easy task. While the earthly world is losing the physicality, but not the spirit, of a great man, many in heaven are excited to have a new member on the horseshoe squad. Rest in Peace Gene. God Bless the McGraw family.
