Glenda J. Buckner, age 72, of Kansas City, KS passed away on Sat., Oct. 22, 2016 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. The family will recieve friends at the visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Wed. evening, Oct. 26, and the Funeral service will be at 11 am, Thur. Oct. 27, both at the Alden - Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas University Cancer Center in care of the funeral home. Glenda was born on Feb. 5, 1944 in Bonner Springs, KS and was a life long area resident. She had worked at Sherrill Minter Ford and Broadway Ford as a Parts Salesperson for over 40 years before retiring in 2006. She loved traveling to Las Vegas and also enjoyed collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia and her Classic Cars. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Margaruette Pickett, one brother Chuck Pickett and her first husband Michael Schrader. And she is survived by her husband of 38 years David Buckner of the home. Two sons Jeff Schrader (Sheila) of Bankston, Ala and Kevin Schrader (Chris) of LaCygne, KS. One brother David Pickett of Edwardsville, KS and two sisters Mary Surritte of Louisburg, NC and Juanita Clark of Bonner Springs, KS. Four grandchildren Samuel, Tyler, Sarah and Noah Schrader.
