Carroll J. Logsdon, age 76, of Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Sun. Aug. 20, 2017 at home while surrounded by his family. Visitation 6-8pm Wed. Aug. 23rd and Memorial Mass Services 12:30pm Thurs., Aug. 24th both at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor, Kansas with entombment to follow at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Born on May 2nd, 1941 in Quincy, Ill., Carroll was the eighth of ten children born to, Francis and Luella (Fishback) Logsdon. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1958-1962 as a Airforce Police at Manzano Airforce Base near Albuquerque, NM. Carroll graduated from Lubbock Barber College in June of 1965. He cut hair on the Base at Fort Leavenworth, Prairie Village and later owned his own Barber Shop; Fairway Hair Styling in Fairway, KS., retiring in 2014. Carroll was also a Real Estate Broker in the Leavenworth and Lansing areas. He was an active member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Basehor, KS. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Darlene Logsdon of the home, two sons; Dwayne Logsdon of Piper, KS., and Jason Logsdon and wife Vicki of Basehor, KS., two grandchildren Morgan and Austin Logsdon. Two brothers James “Fred” Logsdon of Pueblo, CO., and Floyd Logsdon and wife Betty of Bonner Springs, KS., as well as several extended family and a community of friends. “Carroll was much loved and will be missed by many”.
