Condolences

Condolence From: Mark Vlasic
Condolence: Gisela was the sweetest person who always brought a smile to my face. It was a privilege to know her. Gisela's light will continue to shine for eternity through her beautiful family.

Condolence From: Stan & Beth Jasperson
Condolence: We got to know Gisela and Charlie when friends from Oregon were coming to visit them. We attended church in Oregon with Hugh & Helga. They wanted to know that since we lived in Kansas if we lived close to Bonner Springs. Four miles, actually. We got together with Hugh & Helga McDaniel and Gisela and Charlie (Greg). After Charlie's passing, I kept in touch with Gisela and found her interests were much like mine in books and music. We have had many cups of tea and little trips to SMS High for symphony concerts and this last two years to KU for symphony performances. (Our granddaughters play Viola and Violin) Gisela was always ready and willing to go to a concert or lunch or dinner. We had a few memories along the way. One being my husband initiating his" new" SUV by side swiping Gisela's car while parked in our driveway. Before her last trip to Germany we went to lunch in Leavenworth, KS. Almost to our destination, my car decided to not run so well. We made it to our destination, but the car was towed back to Overland Park for repairs. That SUV in question, came and picked the two of us up and got us home on time for something Gisela was planning on attending.
We will sorely miss her candid and dry sense of humor and the cups of tea over conversations. We know she is with the Lord - what better place to be?
