Mary Ann Holter, age 77 of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Graveside Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Olathe Hospice House in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Mary Ann was born on August 11, 1938 in Kansas City, KS., and was the only child of Oscar and Ruth (King) Handel. Mary Ann was Baptist and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. When her children were young she was a PTA President, Den Mother in the Boy Scouts (2 years) and a Campfire Girl Leader (3 years). Mary Ann was known for her wonderful Crafts, Sewing and Floral Designs. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Roger R. Holter of the home, three children; Roger C. Holter and wife Janell of Marion, KS. Robert S. Holter and wife Teresa of Bonner Springs, KS., and Ruth Ann Holter Trischler and husband Michael of Edwardsville, KS., eight grandchildren; Roger L., Sherry, Chris, Maggie, Cody, Robert L., Teran and Nick. Five great-grandchildren; Kayla, Brendan, Mark, Joel, Annabelle and two on the way. One great-great granddaughter Audrina.
