Betty Lou Babcock, age 82 of Kansas City, Kansas passed peacefully on Sunday Oct. 12, 2014 with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Glenwood Cemetery near Basehor. The family will receive friends from 1-2 prior also at the funeral home.
Betty was born on May 2nd, 1932 in Bates County, Missouri, the second of four daughters born to Edwin and Audra Askew. She was preceded in death by her parents and recently by her husband Donald H. Babcock in 2013. Survivors include her three sisters; Eva Bates of Basehor, KS., Erma Wheeler and Anna Murphy both of Bonner Springs, KS., along with two children and four step-children, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
