Josephine “Jo” Brockman, 94, of Edwardsville, KS passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM, Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 94th and State Avenue in Kansas City, KS burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Friends may call at the visitation from 10 to 11 AM, Friday, April 11 at the church. Mrs. Brockman was born April 14, 1919 in Kansas City, Kansas and was a lifelong area resident. She loved raising her family and was a wonderful seamstress even working at Nellie Don's Clothing Manufacturing in Kansas City. She also always loved baseball, playing when she was young, and later following the Royals as a fan. She was very musical, playing both the harmonica and violin, and listening to her polka music. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale E. Brockman in 1974 and is survived by her four children Dale E. Brockman, Jr. (Linda) of Fritch, TX; Diane Carpenter (Gary) of Edwardsville, KS; Patrice Binder (Tom) of Basehor, KS and Joseph Brockman (Judy) of Edwardsville, KS. Eight grandchildren Cari, Chris, Lisa, Cortney, Kristi, Amy, Jami and Joey. And 11 great-grandchildren all who will miss her greatly
