Obituary for William "Howard" Reaves Sr.

William "Howard" Reaves, Sr., 83, of Easton, KS (formerly of Leavenworth, KS) passed away on January 8, 2021. He was born in Edwards, MO on December 30, 1937 too Mamie Ann (Curtright) and Walter Reaves.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Sue (Ashley) Reaves, his parents, 8 brothers Eddie, Lawrence, Leo, Ralph, Raymond, Ervin, Douglas and Bobbie, 4 sisters Ola Mae, Daisy Belle, Letha and Annie.

Howard is survived by his 6 children Carrie, Jr., Rusty, Chris, Pebbles, Barbara and honorary daughter Michelle. His grandchildren Tyler, Noelle, Megan, Joshua, Jessica, Ashley, Samuel, Adam and honorary granddaughter Brittany. Great grandchildren Mason, Aydon, Abigail, Michael and Grayson.

Howard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his best buddy Tyler. He enjoyed playing tunes on his harmonica and telling jokes for hours. He never knew a bad slice of gooseberry, raisin, mincemeat or rhubarb pie.

Howard started the Edwardsville Police Department in Edwardsville, KS in the early 1970's and also served as the Court Clerk. He was in the plumbing business for over 60 years and was known as "Howard the professor of plumbing". He was columnist for the Kansas City Star newspaper for many, many years.

Graveside Committal will be 3pm, Friday, January 29th, 2021 in the Edwardsville Cemetery, Edwardsville, Kansas. A Celebration of Life/Memorial Service will be held in the Spring, 2021. He will be missed by many.
