William Russell Parr, 85, of Basehor, KS passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 pm, and the Memorial Service will b e at 5 pm both on Fri., May 21, at the Elm Grove Baptist Church. With a family committal to follow at a later date in Mt Sidney Cemetery. Bill was born on Oct. 19, 1935 in Fortuna, MO and was raised in Linwood, KS area and graduated from Linwood High School. He worked for 35 years for Procter and Gamble in Kansas City, KS making the best Zest soap west of the Mississippi. He loved hunting, fishing and looking for mushrooms. He could fix just about anything and had always been an avid gardener. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Joanne Parr of the home and three children Sherry Bracke of Basehor, KS; Cindy Kendall and her husband Ernie of Basehor, KS and Jack Parr of Kansas City, KS. 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters.
