Obituary for Wayne Harold Gumm

Wayne H. Gumm, age 82, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 while surrounded by his family, after a long battle with Cancer. Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Tuesday, July 2nd at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10am, Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 also at the funeral home, burial to follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Wyandotte County Cancer Action.
Wayne was born on October 23, 1936 in Montreal, Missouri. The second oldest of six children born to Carroll & Grace Gumm. Wayne grew up near Montreal and attended schools there before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was the longtime Owner/Operator of Gumm Tractor & Implement Sales, and had also been a salesman at Coleman Implements in Shawnee, Kansas. Wayne loved to spend the winters at his Gulf side home in Rockport, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, son Daniel Gumm, sister Lorna Lee Gumm and brother Edward Gumm.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Viola Gumm of the home.
Two sons; Richard Gumm of Dallas, TX. And Brian Gumm and wife Laura of Edwardsville, KS.
Brother J.C. Gumm and wife Mary of Basehor, KS., Sisters; Glee Hanks of Kirksville, MO. and Lyvone McDowell and husband JD of Fairmont, KS.
As well as several extended family and friends.
