Virginia P. Copeland-Nichols, 83, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM and Funeral Services at 11 AM both on Friday, January 5, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Virginia was born on September 17, 1940 in Lydia, TX where she grew up and married, later moving to the Kansas City area where they raised their family. She was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed all of nature, feeding squirrels and birds and gardening through the years. Virginia married Eddie Nichols, May 15, 1955. She was proceeded in death by husband Eddie Ray Nichols in 1993 and her parents. And is survived by five children Kenneth Nichols (Roberta) of Lenexa, KS; Jimmie Nichols (Denise) of Kansas City, MO; Chester Nichols of Bonner Springs, KS; Catherine Bernard of Bonner Springs, KS; and Eddie Nichols (Sandy) of Mountain Home, AR. 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way.
