Obituary for Victor Van Vinzant

Victor Van Vinzant, age 72, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. A celebration of life will be on October 17th at 6:00 pm, Sykes/Lady Overland Park Golf Course, back/ outdoor patio. A celebration of life will also be conducted in the Houston area at Clear Lake Park, NASA Road 1, Landolt Pavillion on October 17th from noon to 4:00 pm.

Victor was born on February 5, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas as one of three children born to Everett Vinzant and Emma McCraw. His professional career focused on the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment for companies such as Coca Cola and Thermo Fisher Scientific. His hobbies included a love of cars, fishing, and golfing. Victor was a significant contributor to the Kansas City area community through the Everett Vinzant and John Cosnotti Junior Golf Tournament. His participation in this event was instrumental in support of young golfers and an event that Vic looked forward to every year.
Vic loved all the people in his life and was deeply devoted to friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Debbie Vinzant. Survivors include his sister Kitty Arrington, wife Mary Bandu-Vinzant, and four children: Tony Vinzant, Tracey Vinzant, Travis Vinzant, and Rosaleigh Vinzant. He also has 9 grandchildren.
