Treva (Belka) Hinds
Treva was born on May 19, 1923 to Frank & Lela Belka in Purdy, Missouri. She departed this life on Sunday, October 9th, 2022 while surrounded by her loving family at her home in Kansas City, Kansas.
In 1941, she and her family moved to Kansas City, Kansas. Treva was always a very hard worker, working several jobs before starting with Hobart Manufacturing Company where she worked for 18 years, retiring in 1991. Prior to retiring, she was the President of USWA Local 2351 for 9 years. Throughout her life she enjoyed fishing and even bought new 1977 truck and camper just for fishing trips. She loved her pets and had several dogs and cats. Above all, Treva loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lela Belka, one daughter Betty Jean Gossett, great-grandson Troy Joseph (T J) Chilson and sister Geneva Evans.
Treva is survived by one daughter Beverly Jo “Joye” Davis, Three grandchildren: Joe, Mike and Kebra (husband Shane), three great-grandchildren: Josie, Lindsey and Michael and a great-great-granddaughter Dakkota. As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Visitation will be 10-11am with the funeral service beginning at 11am, both on Monday Oct. 17th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. In honor of her daughter Betty Jean Gossett, memorial contributions can be made to Cancer Action KC.
