Obituary for Tom Moss

Tom Bill Moss, age 90, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Friday, December 23rd, 2022 at his daughter’s home while surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be 10-11am, followed by the Funeral at 11am, both Tuesday, December 27th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery.

Tom was born on November 24, 1932 in Licking, Missouri. He grew up in Licking until his father passed away in 1939 and then his family moved to Waynesville, MO. Tom married Minnie Sons on January 14, 1952 and together they moved to this area in 1953. Over the years, Tom had worked various jobs but he mostly worked maintenance at Griffin Wheel and later at Providence and St. Mary’s Hospitals. He was a lifelong sports fan and also enjoyed camping and woodworking. Tom was never one to sit still, he always had projects he was working on. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and going to their various events.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Clinton G. & Thelma A. (Brooks) Moss, his wife Minnie M. Moss and two of his sisters Annajean Cupid and Patsy Newman.
Survivors include his three daughters: Debbie Saving and her husband Fred of Bonner Springs, KS., Joyce Lightwine and her husband Albert of DeSoto, KS., and Vicki DeGroot and her husband Tim also of DeSoto, KS., seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, one brother Harold Moss and his wife Beverly of Santa Maria, CA and one sister Susie Becker of Tacoma, WA.
