Obituary for Terry L. Taylor
Terry L. Taylor, age 75, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 after an extended illness. Funeral Mass Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23rd at the Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th Street, Leawood, KS 66209. Burial to follow with Military Honors at 1:30 p.m. at the Leavenworth National Cemetery located at 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth KS 66048. Terry was born on October 12, 1948, and raised in Kansas City, Kansas by his parents Merle & Delores (Repine) Taylor. He graduated from Argentine High School in the Class of 1966. Terry was selected for the draft in 1968 while he was attending Pittsburg State University. He married Debbie McKay on June 27th, 1970 in Kansas City, KS, and together they followed his 20+ year career in the United States Army to many locations including Europe. Terry was a lifelong sports lover and even owned a Sports Store for some time. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and especially the Kansas City Royals.
Survivors include his wife Debbie Taylor and son Brian Taylor, both of the home, nephew Brent Ventura and wife Erinn and their sons Nolan & Colton, as well as other family in the Pittsburg, Kansas area and many friends.
