Obituary for Ted Edward McComb
Ted “Tedro” McComb passed away on May 17, 2022 at the age of 51, in his home surrounded by family and friends. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Ted came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Ted was born on May 28, 1970 in Kansas City, Kansas to Bruce and Eleanor McComb. He graduated from Schlagle High School in 1987. His greatest accomplishment was his “kid”, He loved his daughter Samantha fiercely. His next loves would be his family and friends. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, drinking with friends at Bill’s 32 West, playing cards and smoking weed. Everyone who knew “Tedro” was blessed beyond measure. He was like his mother, never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eleanor “Ellie” McComb, two brothers Joseph “Joe” Rita II and Timothy “Tim” Rita, nephew Neil FlInn.
Survivors include father Bruce McComb and daughter Samantha McComb of the home, daughter Emilee Harris, son Marion Harris, sister Sonya Wilder (Richard), sister-in-law Tammy Rita, brother Neil Flinn Sr. (Lynn),
Nieces Becky Lesher (Aaron), Ashley Hilt (Tony), Myla Weakland (Greg), Rose Holthaus (Corey), Tuesda Smith (Dylan), Marissa Flinn, Nephews Justin Flinn (Molly), Joey Flinn (Miranda), Chris Hilt, Grandchildren Jasmine and Samuel. Along with several great nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be from 11 to 12 noon on Sat., June 4, 2022 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with committal to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery where he will be placed at the foot of his mother's grave, the family will then return to the Harrington Family Event Center for the Celebration of Life and receive friends.
