Stephanie “Jeanne” Ova, age 53, of Bonner Springs, KS. went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020, while surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous battle with Pompe Disease and Breast Cancer. In lieu of lowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Pompe Disease Research Fund at Duke University.
Jeanne graduated from Park Hill High School in 1985 and married the love of her life Rick on July 26th, 1986. She had three children which she had the privilege of being able to stay at home and take care of them, she was proud to say that she did that. She and Rick have lived in Bonner Springs, KS for 25 years. She considered it her hometown. She loved to decorate, play bingo, travel but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. In her later years, as the Pompe disease took its toll, she became very interested in politics. In April of 2019 she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and was placed on Hospice shortly after. Her spirit and determination kept her going and she enjoyed life right up until Wednesday July 15th when she went to be with Jesus. She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents and an aunt. And is survived by her husband of 34 years on July 26th, Rick Ova of the home. Her children Jennifer Sanderson (Jason), Joshua Ova (Lindsay) and Rebecca Phillips (Rodney). Jason Sanderson

I'm married to Jeanne daughter Jenni, my name is Jason. Jeanne always treated me like family, more like a son to tell the truth. A big hole is missing in me that she took up. Jeanne I live you now and always and can't believe God took you home this early, but I'll see you again down the road.
