Obituary for Scot Alan Dowd

Scot Alan Dowd, 64 of Kansas City, KS passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. He was born February 15, 1955 to Dana Norton Dowd and Shirley Jean Snavely in Lawrence, KS.

Scot was a master bricklayer, an articulate manipulator of burnt clay products. He is responsible for the brick on many buildings throughout the greater Kansas City area. With his playful demeanor and kind eyes, he brought a smile to all that he met. Scot loved to ride and on a beautiful Kansas City evening, he would often be found riding his Harley with his friends. His heart was made of gold and he will be truly missed by all those he considered family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa Dowd Figueroa, his grandsons Maximiliano and Ignacio Figueroa, his sisters Cheryl Hetzel Galvez and Cathy Dowd. A memorial will be held May 4 at 1pm at Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 4726 Merriam Dr, Overland Park, KS. Inurnment will be held at Glenwood Cemetery kept private for family.
