Sarah Diane Thomas (aka “Frankie Anderson”)
Sarah Diane Thomas was born 5/24/1986 in Overland Park, KS. She was fiercely proud of her heritage and passionately loved her family. She did not know a stranger and would help anyone that asked for it. Sarah was quick witted and loved to be the center of attention. She was the greatest Aunt, spoiling and attending as many activities as she could to see her nieces and nephews as much as possible.
An avid animal lover, Sarah always had a pet: Dogs, cats, horses, squirrels. You name it, she probably nursed it back to health and gave it a home. Sarah grew up riding horses and became quite an accomplished hunter jumper.
Sarah was a big kid and knew how to play and have fun. She enjoyed skateboarding and playing the drums.
Sarah loved football and played on competitive teams in KC. She also loved the Wizard of Oz and had 'hands down' the best sleeve tattoo in Kansas City of the beloved movie.
Sarah/Frankie was surrounded by a very large community of friends. She will be missed by so many as her contagious smile and laugh grabbed the hearts of everyone.
Sarah was preceded in death by her mother Carol Joan (Thomas) Anderson in 2012 and her father Brian Keith Thomas in 2018.
Survivors include her brother Nick Thomas, wife Kristen and their son Brodie of Shawnee, KS: Sister Rita Woods, husband Ben and children Taylor, Caitlin and Cody of Concordia, MO
The family will receive friends at a Memorial Visitation from 5 to 8 pm, Friday, July 10 at the Alden - Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. A family committal will follow at a later date in Monticello Union Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to assist with Headstone expenses in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
