Rosemary A. Burton, age 79, of Piper, Kansas passed away on Thursday, November 15th, 2018. As per her wishes, no service is planned.
Rosemary Ann Filbert was born on March 3rd, 1939 in Leavenworth, Kansas. She married James “Jim” F. Burton on June 26th, 1955 in Wolcott, Kansas and together they made their home and raised their children in Piper, Kansas. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Jim Burton in 2016, by her parents Lester & Mary (Kromhloc) Filbert, and three siblings; Richard Filbert, Darlene Hatfield, and Donna Marsh. Survivors include her five children; Patty Walker, Jim Burton, II and wife Monica, Tim Burton, Missy Roberts and husband John, and Chris "Cooky” Burton, three siblings; Mike Filbert and wife Maggie, Debbie Lindsey and husband Tim, Mary Lynn McQuirk and husband Pat, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
