Obituary for Robert Lee Fryatt Sr.

ROBERT L. FRYATT, SR.
Robert Lee Fryatt, Sr., 86, of Piper, KS passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, KS. Family will receive friends at the Visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Mon., Dec. 10, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS Graveside committal service at 11 am, on Tue., Dec. 11, at the Chapel Hills Memorial Garden Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Robert was born on June 18, 1932 in Kansas City KS and was a lifelong area resident. He was a U.S. Army Paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne Veteran in the Korean War. He worked for many years as a Plumber for Local Union # 8 in Kansas City, MO. After retiring he sold produce for several years on "the" corner in Piper where he was also known as the Golf Ball Hunter. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Chiefs, Royals and the K.U. Jayhawks. Back in his younger years he had played Baseball with the Dodgers on it's minor league team and was known to have a 95 mph Fastball. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Connie Fryatt of the home. Two sons Robert L. Fryatt, Jr. and his wife Susan of Kansas City, KS and Timothy A. Fryatt and his wife Debbie of Kansas City, KS. One daughter Dianna L. Fryatt of Kansas City, KS. Three brothers Eugene Fryatt of Westwood, KS; Preston Fryatt of St. Louis, MO and Nolan Fryatt of Lee's Summitt, MO. Three grandchildren Justine, David and Jennifer and two great grandchildren Sofia and Noah.
