Obituary for Robert Eugene "Bob" Blue

Robert Eugene Blue "Bob", 65, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 while helping others in his neighborhood. His family will receive friends at his visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS and his funeral will be at 11 am, Friday, Dec. 20, at the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Bob was born on Oct. 26, 1954 in Salina, KS and had lived in this area since 1996. He received an Associates Degree in Software Engineering from the Kansas Technical Institute in 1974, and has worked for over the last 20 years as a Senior Software Engineer for Farrellgas Company in Liberty, MO. He was an avid KU Basketball fan and a member of the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church. He loved spending time doing all kinds of things with his family and friends especially his grandkids. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years Darla of the home. Two daughters Jennifer Broockerd of Lenexa, KS and Debbie Jagow and her husband Aaron of Bonner Springs, KS. One son Jeffrey Blue of Bonner Springs, KS. One sister Sharon Belvin of Vidor, TX and a brother Ed Blue of Yukon, OK. And six grandchildren Andrew, Jacob, Brayden, Cameron, Colton and Addison. The family suggests memorial contributions to Feed his Lambs in care of the funeral home.
