Richard A. Pruitt
Richard “Rich” A. Pruitt, age 62, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, at his home after a brief but fierce illness. A gathering to celebrate his life will be from 1 to 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 at the Harrington Family Event Center.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Central United Methodist Church 933 Argentine Blvd. Kansas City, KS 66105

Rich was born on October 26th, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas. He has been married to his wife Robin for 25 blissful years. When they married, he gained three children he never knew he wanted and came to love them as his own. Rich worked for Cates Service Company for 41 years. Under their tutelage, he became a leader everyone looked up to and depended on. They became his second family. His second home was a Casino. Rich loved to gamble! He loved NASCAR and regularly fell asleep while watching it. Rich was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. One of the saddest days of his life was the day he sold his beloved jet boat. He loved going to the Lake of the Ozarks and hearing the first rumble of the engine. A year ago, he met the 2nd love of his life, Kelce. The cutest little mini-Australian Shepard anyone ever met. Rich was loved, and there was never a second, he didn’t know it.

Rich was preceded in death by his father Richard Pruitt and stepfather Paul “Steve” Alexander.

Survivors include his wife Robin Pruitt, his mother Sandy Alexander, and his sister Terri Pruitt, Chosen daughter Shawna Boley and her husband Michael Boley, chosen son Michael Harding and his wife Melissa, chosen daughter Meghan Harding and partner Miko. Grandchildren: Micheal Montoya Garcia, Angelica (Joe) Green, Paul Harding, Zach Harding, Irie Moppin, Paisley Hoenscheidt, and Ellyana Hoenscheidt, nephews Richard Pruitt and Jayme Pruitt.
