Ralph H. West
Ralph Henry West, age 82, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023. Visitation will be 10-11 am, Friday, May 5th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Graveside Service to follow at 2 pm in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, Kansas. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Westside Church of Christ.
Ralph was born on March 11th, 1941 in Blackwater, Missouri, and was one of 10 children born to Alfred & Marjorie (Wallace) West. He graduated from Erie High School in Erie, Kansas in the Class of 1960. Ralph then entered the US Army serving over 24 years. He had worked as a Machinist after retiring from the Army. Ralph married Judy Mock in 1974 and together they made their home in Bonner Springs where they raised their son. He and Judy have been long-time members of the Westside Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Six siblings: Patrick Wayne West, Delores Sears, Donald West, Jack West, Mary Shaffer, Doug West, and one son Danny Alan West.
Survivors include his wife Judy West of the home, and two sons Kenneth West of Germany, and Brandon West of the home. One grandson Logan West also of the home. Three sisters: Shirley Comer, Laurie West, and Judy Bell. As well as several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
