Obituary for Paul Walen Meese
PAUL W. MEESE
11-19-1954 to 8-16-2020
Paul Walen Meese, of McLouth, Kansas, passed away August 16, 2020, at the age of 65. He was born on November 19, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Elvin Eugene “Gene” Meese and Violet “Louise” (Imhoff) Meese. He graduated from Turner High School, where he played football.
Paul has been with Sonia Howard, his life partner for the last 25 years. They built a beautiful life together on their ranch. Paul truly loved Sonia, loved his land, and loved his animals. In addition to his cattle, Paul was known to give a home to animals that had outlived their usefulness, giving them a peaceful place to retire where they were well-cared-for and loved.
Paul spent the last ten years working for The Michaels Organization at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, where he completed historic renovations and remodeled officer housing. He would have retired at the end of August 2020.
He is survived by Sonia, of the home, one biological daughter and two step-daughters, six grandchildren, his father, and his sister, Patricia (Meese) Finnerty.
The family plans on a private celebration of life.
