Obituary for Paul Lee Kindred
Paul Lee Kindred, 73, passed away peacefully Tuesday April 5, 2022, in Topeka, Kansas.
Paul was born to Paul Edgar Kindred and Elinor Jane Kindred on August 16, 1948, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was raised in Bonner Springs, Sunflower, and Desoto, Kansas.
His surviving immediate family includes his children Kelly Sandland, Paul Kindred Jr., Jennifer Kindred and John Paul Kindred. His mother Elinor Jane Vickers at 93 is still alive. His sister is Linda Hardman, and his grandchildren are Sonya Sandland, Serina Kindred, and Arianna Fisher.
Paul was very well liked amongst his peers throughout his school years making many friends in the school band where he played trumpet, baseball and was a member of the Thespian Club and Cub Scouts. After graduating from high school, Paul entered the Army, and his usual occupation was a technician. His church of choice was the Methodist church which he attended with his grandmother Mina Kindred.
Paul loved the outdoors, was a good old country boy, and was a lover of music with Johnny Cash as his favorite. His most enjoyable pastimes were hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. His sweet demeanor, big smile and sense of humor kept everyone laughing around him.
A memorial will be held at the Alden Harrington Funeral Home at 214 Oak St in Bonner Springs, Kansas on Friday April 22, 2022, at 1:30pm and the burial will immediately follow at the Bonner Springs Cemetery.
