Obituary for Patty Walker
Patricia Ann Walker, age 64, of Piper, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 7th, 2021 from 6-7pm, followed by a brief Memorial Service at 7pm, both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Private burial will follow at a later date.
Patty was born on November 23, 1956 in Kansas City, KS. and was the eldest of five children born to James & Rosemary Burton. She was raised in Piper and graduated from Piper High School. Patty was a lover of fresh air, warm sunshine and being behind the wheel with the radio turned up loud. Patty was an enormous music lover. There was rarely a day without the radio on. Patty was a rock in her family and a force to be reckoned with. Some of her happiest memories were those of the many years spent caring for and watching over the early days of her grandchildren, her nephews and niece. She held a tremendous pride in watching all the children in her life grow.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her two children: Jeremy Surprise of Piper, KS., and Amy Surprise of Tonganoxie, KS., three grandchildren: her pride and joy, Anjelika Surprise, and “her boys” Alex and Gavin McConnaughey. Four Siblings: Jim Burton (Monica), Tim Burton (Jackie), Missy Roberts (John), and Chris Burton. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
