Patricia Ann McKay, 86, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her home. Visitation from 5 to 7:30 pm, and Rosary at 5:30 pm, both on Monday, April 29, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral in Bonner Springs, KS and Funeral Mass at 11 am, Tuesday, April 30, at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor, KS. Entombment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kindred Hospice. Pat was born Jan. 27, 1933 in Kansas City, KS and was a life long area resident. She worked for many years as a Bookkeeper for Bishop Ward Catholic High School in Kansas City, KS and later at the Wyandotte Credit Union. Through the years she loved to dance with her husband and they became known for winning many dance contests in the area. She was a great Cook and even invented her own cookie. She enjoyed classical music and also traveling all over and to visit family on their military assignments. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Charles "Chuck" G. McKay in 2012 and one daughter Jan Ventura in 2010. She is survived by her children Deborah Taylor and her husband Terry of Overland Park, KS and Donald R. McKay and his wife Angela of Bonner Springs, KS. Four grandchildren Brian, Brent Mallory and Matthew. Three great grandchildren Nolan, Nathan and Colton. One sister-in-law Rosie Borchardt and her husband Doug of Pittsburg, KS as well as a host of other family and friends that will miss her greatly.
