Nina Lohmann, 84, Lenexa, KS passed away April 12th, 2020 at her home. The family will be planning a celebration of her life at a later date.
Nina lived a full life. Nina graduated from Hamburg High School in Hamburg, IA. Following graduation, she went to Lincoln, NE, where she began working at Back to the Bible Broadcast. After leaving Lincoln, NE, Nina married Leonard Eugene Lohmann HM2 USN and lived in Norfolk, VA for several years as a Navy wife and they served in several Navy bases over the years. She greatly enjoyed Amtrak travel with her husband and travel across Canada via rail. After leaving the military, Nina and Leonard located to Bonner Springs, KS, where she cared for children in her home. Her many talents of crochet, including making hats and booties for Providence Hospital of the newborns, she made blankets and christening outfits for many families with love.
Nina is proceeded in death by her Father, Ormond Ingram, her Mother, Marina (Arleta) Brandt, her baby brother, Ormond Lyle Ingram and her brother Larry Troxel. She is survived by her husband Leonard Lohmann, her children Deborah Lohmann, David Lohmann (Vicky Isley), Terry Lohmann (Debbie), her five grandchildren, her sisters Avis Hoyt and Rosie Price of Lincoln,NE, her brother-in-law Richard (Tex) Lohmann (Carol) and all her extended family.
