Nina Alene Church, age 93, of Edwardsville, Kansas passed away on May 30th, 2023. Visitation will be 10-11 am, with the Funeral Service at 11 am, both Monday, June 5th, at the Edwardsville Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Edwardsville Christian Church.
Nina was born on February 8th, 1930 at her family’s home in Fall River, Kansas. She was one of nine children born to Chris & Hazel (Book) Ghramm. Nina grew up in Fall River and graduated from Fall River High School in the Class of 1948. Presently, she was a member of the Edwardsville Christian Church. Nina was preceded in death by her parents, one son Joseph Rees and all eight of her siblings.
Survivors include her two children: Sammie Peters of Kansas City, Kansas and Steve Rees and wife Leanne of Pleasanton, KS., four grandchildren: William F. Peters, II and his wife Crystal, and Christopher B. Peters all of Kansas City, KS. Brett Rees of Sellersburg, IN. and Rebekah Rees of LaGrange, KY., eight great-grandchildren: Erica, Samantha, Christopher, Brayden, Brennan, Jude, Mia and Lane, and one great-great-grandson Travon.
