Obituary for Monica Nichole Meyer

Monica Nichole Meyer, 34. Monica was born on December 21st, 1984 in Kansas City, Kansas. She left this world on April 11th, 2019. Monica was a resident of Tonganoxie, Kansas. She was employed by CiToxLabs. Monica was a graduate of Bonner Springs High School, in Bonner Springs, Kansas. She was an accomplished artisan in both photography and life sketches. She loved to play the guitar and sing, especially to her children. Monica valued family and believed it takes a village to raise a child and promoted family traditions. She loved her extended family as much as she loved her immediate family. She was a fierce, loyal friend to many. She was gifted with an uncanny connection to animals and it was rare to find an animal that did not gravitate toward her. Monica had just received confirmation of acceptance to KU and was to begin classes this summer, working toward her degree in biological research, which was something she became passionate about while working in the research lab where she was employed.
Monica is survived by her three young daughters, of Tonganoxie. Her parents, Chris and Kathy Meyer of Linwood, Kansas. Her sister, Malina Meyer of Tonganoxie. Her brother, Chris Meyer of Kansas City, Kansas. Maternal Grandmother, Linda Lindsey of Linwood, Kansas. Paternal Grandparents, Maurice and Joyce Meyer of Basehor, Kansas. As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
Viewing will be April 20th, 2019 from 12-2pm, with a short service at 2pm. There will be food and refreshments served at a reception at the Parent’s Home, immediately following the service. The family welcomes anyone who would like to come and share joyful memories of Monica and her life.
