Obituary for Mildred Louise Adam (Graybill)

Mildred Louise Adam, age 90, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, June 30,
2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
M. Louise Adam was born on April 10, 1931 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of Claude W. Graybill
and Mildred (Spencer) Holmes. She grew up in the KCK area and graduated from Bishop Ward
High School in 1949. She attended St. Mary’s University in Leavenworth and graduated with an
associates in accounting. She worked in the tax preparation field for years as an assistant to
Ben Miller, a local CPA. She later worked for and retired from Citibank call center.
She loved her friends but most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a
loving soul who never met a stranger. She was forever taking in anyone or anything that
needed a helping hand, if you needed a ride, food or someone to talk to she was there day and
night. She jumped at the opportunity to help others. She loved playing bingo at the Moose
Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. She looked forward to her monthly bus trips to the Prairie Band
Casino, playing skip-bo with her best friend, Lorna, who preceded her in death and doing
puzzles. She had a laugh that was contagious. She was full of love, was loved by many and will
be forever missed.
M. Louise Adam married Dale H. Adam on April 15, 1950, who preceded her in death, they had
3 children. When she passed she was the 1st of a 5 generations.
She is also preceded in death by her mother and father, brother, Claude W. Graybill; sister, Billie
Marie Graybill; and son, Dale H. Adam; Great Granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Vanderpool.
She is survived by her son Robert D. Adam and daughter Annette M Myers, 4 grandchildren
Chez Adam, Sean Myers, Philip Adam, Ph.D., Tyler Adam, 12 great grandchildren Sydney,
Semain, Cassius, Cassandra, Monica and Michael Vanderpool, Kadence Myers and Arya, Atticus, Emma, and
Brooke Adam and 2 great great grandchildren Rosalee and Beau VanBebber.
Celebration of life for Louise Adam will be held on Sunday July 11, 2021 at 2pm at the Moose
Lodge #1999 located at 6621 Turner Dr. Kansas City, KS 66111. Family requests that donations
be made to Harbor hospice in lieu of flowers.
