Michael R. Eveland, age 60, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Tuesday Oct. 1, 2019 at his home. A visitation will be 4-6pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6pm, both Monday, Oct. 7th at the HyVee Arena in Kansas City, MO. (the old Kemper Arena). Mike’s cremated remains will be laid to rest on his family’s plot in the Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, KS.
In lieu of the Flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research or to an Education Fund for Mike’s Grandchildren.
Mike was born on June 16, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas to Bob & Gayle (Cox) Eveland. Mike grew up in Bonner Springs and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in the class of 1977. Starting in June of 1978, he drove a Concrete Truck for Fordyce Concrete in Kansas City, KS his career with that company has lasted 41 years. Mike enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching sports with his friends, and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents; James & Dorothy Eveland.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Eveland of the home, her children; Amanda Williams and Chris Douglas, two daughters; Tara Hovey and husband James of Shawnee, KS. and Teann Eveland of Bonner Springs, KS., and their mother; Pam (Holt) Eveland of Bonner Springs, KS., two grandchildren; Jack and Evie, Parents Bob & Gayle Eveland of Kansas City, KS., as well as extended family and several friends he considered family.
