Michael Hodges, 70, of Shawnee, KS passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his home. No public services are planned at this time. The family suggest memorial contributions to the Bonner Springs Animal Rescue in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Michael was born May 27, 1950 in Kansas City, KS and grew up in Leavenworth and in Kansas City later enlisting in the U.S. Navy, serving in Key West Florida during the Vietnam War. Michael worked for over 30 years as a truck driver, last driving for Penny's Concrete. He was always known as a big Kansas City Chiefs fan. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Charles Hodges and son Stephen Michael Hodges in 1988. His survivors include his wife of 44 years Phyllis Hodges, of the home. And one sister Victoria Stout of Ashboro, NC as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
