Michael Ray Helton (Mike), 58, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on March 27,2020 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mike was employed by Renos Powersports for the past 10 years as their Finance Manager in Martin City, MO. Mike loved his job, motorcycles, and his co workers.

Mike was born October 27,1961 in St. Louis, MO. To Kenneth Ray, and Patricia Joann Helton. Mike was not only a son, but a father and papa. He loved his kids, and grandbabies fiercely. His world revolved around the love he had for them. He was a sweet and selfless man. The kind of man that would give the shirt off his back. He would do anything to help you in a time of need.
Mike was a musical man, he loved to sing, jam, and he thought he could “cut a rug” something that he passed down to each of his children that will be cherished forever. If you knew Mike, you know that along with that big heart of his was a big personality. He was a silly guy, always making light of situations and would do anything to put a smile on ones face. He didn’t care how ridiculous he looked, If he got you to smile it would be a win in his eyes. Mike was easy to love, everyone who knew him adored him. It didn’t matter what you did, or what you were going through he was a listening ear without judgement. Something so rare and beautiful.

Mike was proceeded In death by his maternal grandparents, Coy Radis Beers, and Alice Emily Louisa Nash- Beers his paternal grandparents, William Jesse Helton and Bessie Catherine Wells-Helton
And his grandson Luca James Helton
He is survived by his parents Kenneth Ray and Patricia Joann Helton of St. Louis Mo. His three children, Morgan Taelor Slavens (Kyle Slavens) of Eudora, KS; Michael Gabriel Helton (Chelsie Helton) of Overland Park, KS and Brooke Ashley Hardy ( Michael Hardy ) of Lansing, KS. His sister Kelly Adams (Gary Adams) of St. Louis, MO. His nine grand children Annabella (8), Noah (6), Caleb (4), Gabrielle (2 months), Emerson (6), Jude (4), Beckham (11 months), Chayton (2), and baby Hardy due in May. His one nephew Taylor Michael Wells of St. Louis, MO, and a host of friends and loved ones.

A note to Dad: You were a loving, kind hearted man, always there when we needed someone to talk to without shame or judgment and gave us the best advice you could. He loved us kids so much along with his grandkids. We will miss you more than words can describe. Until we see each other again, know that we love you and thank you for being our dad.

I enjoyed having Mike in my Sunday School class and in Royal Rangers. He really had a talent to play his trumpet during those years. He is remembered being a great man. Dan Finch Grove Ok.
