Obituary for Marylou Hein
Marylou Hein, age 91, of Basehor, Kansas passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020. Visitation will be 10-11am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11am, both Tuesday, Jan. 21st at the Maywood Community Church with burial to follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Basehor. Memorial contributions can be made to the City Union Mission or Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse, both in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Marylou was born on September 5, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the only child born to Noble & Lula (Knight) Mayfield. Marylou grew up in Basehor and graduated from Basehor High School, she then attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Marylou married Robert Hein upon his return from WWII and together they made their home in Basehor. Marylou had a career of working in Insurance. She loved reading, cooking and spending time with her family. Marylou was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 62 years, Robert Hein. Survivors include her three daughters: Lynda Miller and husband Mel of Kansas City, KS., Carolee Hein of Green Valley, AZ., and Sandra Duffin of Lansing, KS., seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
