Obituary for Mary Margaret Eagle
Mary Margaret Eagle (Lilly), aged 83, passed away on the evening of February 15th, 2024, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center after a prolonged fight with heart disease, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in August 1940 to Louise and Arthur Lilly in Iola, Kansas, Mary later settled in Bonner Springs for 53 years before relocating to Hillside Village in Desoto. She leaves behind a cherished family: her daughters Terri Stafford, Rennae Hays, Jennifer Depetre, her son Paul D. Werle, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, parents, and a grandson.
Mary's joy in life came from her family and her adored dogs. She relished her trips to the casino, playing scratch-off tickets, and was an avid player of Bingo and Canasta at Hillside Village, where she also loved to host and socialize with friends.
Her infectious laughter and warm spirit will be profoundly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on February 25th, 2024, at 1 pm at 12063 206th St, Linwood, Kansas. We invite you to join us in commemorating Mary's life.
