Mary Alice Brown, age 80, of Basehor, Kansas passed away on February 19th, 2023 at her home. A Visitation to Celebrate of her life will be held on Thursday, March 2nd, from 5pm to 7pm at the Harrington Family Event Center in Bonner Springs. (Next Door to the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home)
Mary was born on October 27, 1942, in Atchison, Kansas to Wesley & Alice (Ricklefs) Wickam. She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, and attended Wyandotte High School. Mary retired from Payless Cashways #37 and Hen House Market both in Kansas City, KS.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Brown, and two siblings: Lorna Hays and Wesley Wickam.
Survivors include her brother Albert Wickam and his wife Pat of Shawnee, KS, daughters: Cindy (Ottens) Quaintance of Edgerton, KS, Susan (Ottens) Mills and her husband Tom of Basehor, KS, step-son Scott Brown and his wife Marieke of Akumal, Mexico, step-daughter Terri Datica and her husband Joelito of Kansas City, MO, as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
