Mary Beck
Mary Louise Beck, age 65, of Basehor, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, March 30th , 2022. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00am with the Rosary Service beginning at 9:30am, both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Graveside Committal Service will follow at 10:30am in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the International Compassion Ministry in care of the funeral home.
Mary was born on Nov. 10, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas and was one of six children born to James and Maxine (Rojewski) Myers. She graduated from Wichita State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and minors in Art History & Chemistry. Mary went on to graduate from the University of Kansas in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy. While at KU in Lawrence, Kansas she met “the love of her life” David W. Beck, they were married on Nov. 20, 1982. Mary had worked in retail Pharmacy for five years before going on to work in Hospital Pharmacy for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara E. Myers, brothers James E. Myers, III and John R. Myers, children Veronica M. Beck and Joseph W. Beck and by her Loving Husband David W. Beck.
Survivors include her two sons: David W. Beck II, wife Melanie, and granddaughter Charlotte of Piper, KS., and Nathan W. Beck and wife Kimberly of Olathe, KS., brother Joseph Myers and sister Elizabeth Keith, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends
