Martin T. Waitley, 88, of Ozawkie, KS passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Visitation and wake will be from 9 to 11 am, Tuesday, March 1, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS and the Graveside Committal Service will be at 11:30 am, Tuesday, March 1, at the Chapel Hill Memorial Garden Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Tom was born November 4, 1933 in Kansas City, KS where he was long time resident until he retired to Ozawkie. He worked many years at the packing houses as a Butcher, farming and training horses. He enjoyed being at the race track, both horse and car. He was preceded in death by his son Tom Waitley in 1984 and his wife of 58 years Shirley Waitley in 2013.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Waitley of Shawnee, KS and Karen Surprise and her husband Ron of Eureka Springs, AR, a brother Donnie Waitley, and a sister Patsy Waitley.
