Margaret Anna McCown, 94, of Shawnee formerly of Rolla and Overland, MO died Wed., Nov. 6, 2019 at Brookdale Rosehill Senior Living in Shawnee, KS. Visitation 1 to 3 pm, and Funeral at 3 pm, on Fri, Nov. 8 at the Legacy Christian Church 10150 Antioch Rd. Overland Park, KS with burial in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in St. Ann, MO
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Legacy Christian Church or the Child Evangelism Fellowship P.O.Box 561 Grandview, MO 64030. Margaret was born July 23, 1925 in St. Louis, MO, spent her childhood in Rolla and lived most of her life in the St. Louis area with her loving husband James I. McCown and family. Later she moved to the Shawnee, KS area in 2012. She was a member of the St Ann and Florissant, MO Christian Churchs and the Legacy Christian Church in Ovcerland Park, KS. She was a strong Christian women in faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years James I. McCown in 2008. And is survived by 2 children Peggy Linnemann and her husband Stephan of Bonner Springs, KS and Patrick McCown and his wife Beth of Leawood, KS. One brother James Karnes of Lecoma, MO and a sister Carol Rhodes of Austin, TX. Seven grandchildren Amy, Holly, Joshua, Timothy, Mary, Anna and Daniel. And 18 great grandchildren.
