LOREN M. SCOTT
Loren M. Scott, 86, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at St. Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm and Funeral services will be at 2 pm, both on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bonner Springs Cemetery in Bonner Springs, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to assist those with dementia to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
Loren was born July 15, 1936 in Hickman Mills, MO and grew up in La Cygne, KS. He graduated from La Cygne High School in 1954 he then moved to the Bonner Springs area where he and his wife raised their family. Loren worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 41 years. He greatly enjoyed his hobbies of gardening and knife making. Loren is survived by his wife of 67 years Pearl Scott of the home and four children Kevin Scott (Cindy) of Bonner Springs, KS; Mike Scott (Annabella) of Laredo, TX; Bruce Scott (Lori) of Basehor, KS; Twila Aguilera (Daniel) of San Antonio, TX. Two sisters Joanne Haupt of La Cygne, Kansas and Lorna Olson of Stilwell, KS; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as many other family and friends that will miss him greatly.
