Obituary for Lois Daly
Lois Mabel Daly, age 81, of Bonner Springs, Kansas went home to be with the Lord and to join her husband Bob on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. with the Funeral beginning at 11 a.m., both on Thursday, Sept. 7th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lenape Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
Lois was born on April 22, 1942, in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, and was one of five children born to George & Anna (Koepp) Acton. Most of her childhood was spent in Carrollton, Missouri where she graduated from Carrollton High School. Lois worked for 38 years at the Kansas City Life Insurance Company. She married Robert Daly on Nov. 17th, 1962 and together they made their home and raised their three daughters in Bonner Springs. Lois was very active in the Sunshine Club for many years. She was proud to have been Baptized on May 20, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Basehor.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wesley Acton and two sisters Rosie Acton and Dorothy Leffler, and by her loving husband Robert “Bob” Daly.
Survivors include her three daughters: Anita Lynn Hyde and husband Les of Garden City, MO., Brenda Diane Soto and husband Hector of Kansas City, MO., Carla Jean Daly and fiancée Scott Smith of Overland Park, KS., and one sister Mary Litchfield. Grandchildren: Jeremy, Ashley, Cody, Emilio, Octavio, Ignacio, Neil and Travis. Great-grandchildren: Joe, Christina, Chole, Ellie and Sammy. As well as several extended family and friends.
