Obituary for Lloyd Wayne Pearce
Lloyd Wayne Pearce passed away at the age of 70 on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Lansing Care & Rehab after a long battle with kidney disease. He was under the care of Traditions Health & Hospice. He was born February 24, 1953 in Kansas City, KS to Spurgeon and Eula (Sons) Pearce.
Lloyd moved to Alma, KS in the late 80's where he became involved with Alcoholics Anonymous and had been clean and sober since 1990. It was after this that he gave his life to the Lord in the late 90's.
Lloyd enjoyed the outdoors and loved all animals, especially dogs and cats. He enjoyed getting together with family, whether it was for family reunions or a holiday gathering.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon and Eula, and two siblings Darlene Wall and Terry Pearce. Surviors include his siblings Otis Pearce and his wife Jeannie of Ozark, MO; Linda Gardner and her husband John of Bonner Springs, KS; and Joan Lewis and her husband John of Tonganoxie, KS; along with eight nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces.
A family celebration of life will be at a later time.
