Obituary for Lillian Louise Stean

Lillian Louise Stean, aged 96, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024 in Easton, Kansas. Lillian was born October 12, 1927, in Strawberry, Arkansas to Charles Edgar Turner and Mollie Gertrude Turner. Lillian was one of 9 children who helped on the family farm until the time she was 17 when she then moved to Bonner Springs, Kansas. It was shortly thereafter, she met her husband, Ronald K. Stean. He was home on military leave and she was working at a nearby ammunition plant in Desoto, Kansas. They were married on September 26, 1946. They had three children, Karen, Rodney, and Troy. Lillian worked as a seamstress at Nat Nast Sewing Company for many years. Her favorite job though was being a mother, not only to her children, but to her extended family. She defined a mother: a caretaker, provider, protector, and nurturer. Her heart was her family.
